Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) says that a voice was once heard commanding a cloud to irrigate a man’s garden. When the man was asked what he did with the garden, he replied that he estimated the produce of his garden. Then he distributed one-third to charity, kept one-third for himself and his family, and invested one-third back into the garden.
Just as Allah (swt) sent a cloud for this man who gave to the poor, Allah will also provide for us in miraculous ways if we give what we love for the pleasure of Allah and in the service of mankind. As the hadith beautifully illustrates, Allah replaces what we give and multiplies it.
The notion of giving, especially giving and helping those in need, is so entrenched in Islam.
“Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over? And it is Allah who withholds and grants abundance, and to Him you will be returned.”
(The Holy Qur’an, 2:245)
We need your help. We are raising money to help our friend survive her Eating Disorder in Algeria. Your help will be greatly appreciated and it will help to pay for Sabrina’s treatment with Doctor, help her buy medicine and food. The amount we are raising will help Sabrina survive 2022.
Sabrina has suffered from her Eating Disorder for 30 years now. She has been hospitalised number of times for fever, stomach issues and acute dehydration. Few months back we almost lost Sabrina to the evils of Anorexia. She was in hospital fighting for her life and was put on feeding tube. Our community came together and after weeks of prayers Sabrina started to pull through. Last year we raised funds to help Sabrina. Sadly the pandemic has triggered a surge of new eating disorders and relapses in people across the world. Sabrina also suffered during this time, but with help of ED Recovery Coach Safia Muzaffar she has been stable. With 30 years of anorexia Sabrina has developed multiple health problems and recently she was diagnosed with arthritis. We are raising money to help Sabrina survive her ED.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who helped with our fundraising last time. Your generous helped changed Sabrina’s life. To read about last fundraising click here.
