Eating Disorder Recovery Ramadan Power Punch Drinks with Wheatgrass Synergy
This Ramadan Drink yourself to Good Health. I find Smoothies excellent source of nutrition in Ramadan. The Key is to make one Fresh on the day and have it throughout the evening. When you’re recovering from an Eating Disorder, you’ll find that your digestive system is not working optimally, this is because digestive enzyme levels may be deficient, resulting in poor digestion. It takes up to one year to get your digestive system to work properly and this can be so depressing. In Ramadan our digestive system also slows down. Therefore it’s pivotal that we eat foods that are rich in fiber and nutrients. It is often said that everything comes from the gut and therefore if there is a problem in the gut, the whole body will be adversely affected. Through these smoothies you’ll be able to obtain the nutrients your body needs for the month of Ramadan. Don’t forget that vitamins, minerals, amino acids, fatty acids and many more are primarily obtained from the foods that we eat and fluids that we drink. So this Ramadan, Drink yourself to Optimal Health.

We live in times, especially here in the West, where you can enjoy the taste of any fruit/vegetable all year around. But such luxury is not available in many parts of the world. So be creative, if your kitchen does not have certain fruit/vegetables mentioned below then replace them with what’s available.

Horse Power
Instant Stimulation, with the blood cruising through your veins, you’ll be ready for anything.
Simply Amazing. I took this from Michael van Straten’s Book last year. I added some fresh mint to it for extra power and some wheatgrass. In the original recipe, you get lots of pulp and a very little juice. I added ½ cup of ice and ½ cup of water to make it lighter. This is brilliant and instant benefits are felt the moment you consume this power-pack drink.
Vital Statistics
This super juice is bursting with good stuff. It is super rich in vitamins A, C and E, potassium and vitamin B6. It also contains some calcium and traces of other B vitamins. With just under 300 calories a glass, it’s a good quick-energy source. In addition, horseradish contains the natural substance singrin, a powerful antibiotic that also protects against infection.
Horse Power
According to Michael, It may sound simple, but this classic apple and carrot mixture sprinkled with horse radish is fuel for anyone. As well as the instant energy derived from the natural sugars in the carrots and the apples, it features a whole lot new dimension courtesy of horseradish. You’ll get a very little juice and lots of pulp from horseradish, but what you do get is instant stimulation of the circulation.
Ingredients
Carrots, 4 trimmed and peeled unless organic
Apples, 2, unpeeld, uncored and quartered
Fresh Horseradish 85g
Wheatgrass Synergy 5mg
Ice ½ cup
Water ½ cup
Fresh Mint few leaves
